Jump4Jerry non profit youth development organization was founded by Kimberly Prince-Sylla and Zoey Wynn, in memory of Kimberly’s son Jeremiah “Prince Bee” Grant. Jeremiah a.k.a Jerry was a pillar of his community and a championship jumper. His life was tragically cut short on October 28, 2017 at the young age of 8 years old. Although Jeremiah was only 8 years old, he did outstanding work in and out of his community that gave him a sense of pride and made him realize his potential. He also was a champion jumper who left his mark on the world of Double Dutch, and his motto was to keep going, don't stop. Through double dutch and community service, Jerry built confidence, strong character and knew exactly what he wanted, and would not stop until he reached his goal. Because of the passion and joy Jerry had for servin his community and jumping rope, his mother knew she could not let his legacy end. She knew that she had to carry on his passion and commitment and ensure his memory live on. Jump4Jerry organization offers young people servic, support and opportunities that foster their assets, build healthy community connections, strengthens their skills and competencies, and prepare them to transition to adult hood.
Through Jump4Jerry our mission is to honor Jerry by giving other children the opportunity to build confidence, strong character, and realize their full potential as an active member of society and a leader.
The J4J Double Dutch team mission is to empower the children through jump rope, and leave them with a sense of accomplishment and pride as it did for Jerry.
